DEO announces €3.65 million funding round

DEO closes new funding round to expand its AI-backed data platform and extend the company's strong offering to new surgical specialities. Capricorn Partners led the round via their Capricorn Digital Growth Fund and was joined by French investor Karista, a leading European HealthTech Fund, bringing international perspectives to the syndicate. Existing shareholders LRM and the imec.istart Fund also participated in this round. Hereby, DEO will be able to grow standalone, and no longer be under the wings of the OrthoGrow Group.

DEO raises €1 million to expand its operating room efficiency platform

Thanks to a series of investors, including OrthoGrow, LRM, imec.istart, and multiple private investors, DEO closes a successful funding round with an investment of €1 million. OrthoGrow is pleased and proud to announce it has moved office to its new headquarters at the Corporate Village, DaVincilaan 1 in Zaventem, Belgium. DJO Surgical Reversed Shoulder reimbursed

Reimbursement by RIZIV/INAMI of the Reversed Shoulder Prosthesis (RSP) by DJO Surgical will become effective June 1st in Belgium. The Reverse Shoulder Prosthesis is a forward-thinking reverse and the first reverse shoulder design to successfully incorporate a center of rotation (COR) lateral to the glenoid. OrthoGrow Advisory was featured in a publication by PwC, a global quality audit, tax and consulting firm. PwC reached out to OrthoGrow for a project with CADskills, a Belgian start-up that designs and produces 3D-printed patient-specific implants, and required a partner to support its international expansion. "While PwC has the global reach and required financial know-how, with CADskills working in such niche domain, we sought to make sure we had specific knowledge of the product and market for it. Bodycad uni-knee reimbursed in Belgium

Reimbursement of the Bodycad personalized unicompartmental knee system is approved by RIZIV/INAMI in Belgium. Hereby, OrthoGrow realized the very first custom knee system reimbursed by the government on the Belgian market and now also commercially available as a very valuable alternative next to any standard uni knee on the Belgian market.

First personalized restoration procedures using Bodycad's personalized unicompartmental knee system were performed in the US and EU in September last year. "I was involved throughout the production of the personalized restoration." said Prof. Werner Siebert of the Vitos Orthopaedic Clinic in Kassel, Germany, and incoming President of the German Orthopaedic Society, who performed the procedure. "I provided patient imaging, consulted with the Bodycad PREPTech and then reviewed and approved the final design. The result was an exceptional fit for the patient."
